Bahraini Shia Scholars Urging Support for the People of Bahrain

After the declaration of emergency rule in Bahrain, and the delegation of internal repression to the hands of regional armies and mercenary forces, and the targeting of Shia citizens in particular. In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent the Merciful

After the declaration of emergency rule in Bahrain, and the delegation of internal repression to the hands of regional armies and mercenary forces, and the targeting of Shia citizens in particular. With view to the precedents to these developments, namely, the policy of spreading terror and use of weapons of murder including daggers and other pointed weapons, as well as the use of live ammunition across Shia villages and areas by members of the security forces dressed in civilian clothing. And with view to happenings of heinous massacres in the Pearl Roundabout and its surroundings against the sons of this sect, which has committed no crime except exercising the right, through peaceful means, of demanding its squandered rights. We thus perceive that the destiny of this sect is engulfed in the most severe instances of imminent danger.

Facing a policy of public reprisals and settlements; the neglect and violation of security and all rights and norms; the enforced disappearance to prisons; oppressive courtroom trials, and a life of humiliation, serfdom and oppression:

We set forth a resounding appeal to highlight the despicable oppression against us, hereby demanding all the religious seminaries, scientific institutions and human rights bodies, as well as religious authorities in the Muslim world, the Muslim World League, the Security Council, United Nations, the international community, the human conscience and all fair nations and free peoples to immediately intervene in order to salvage those targeted by this catastrophe and destructive predicament.

One and all should fully know that there is no hostility between Shias and Sunnis amongst Bahrainis. The government is seeking however, to instigate and fan this hostility and working at such divisions.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

بعد إعلان حكم الطوارئ في البحرين، وتفويض قضية القمع الداخلي للجيش المحلي والجيوش المستوردة، واستهداف المواطنين والشيعة بالخصوص، وبلحاظ ما سبق ذلك من نشر الرعب واستعمال آلات الجرح والقتل من السلاح الأبيض، والآلات الحادة الأخرى، واطلاق الرصاص من عناصر أمنية بلباس مدني في القرى والمناطق الشيعية، وما يتوقع من إحداث مجزرة رهيبة في دوار اللؤلؤة وما حوله في أبناء هذه الطائفة التي لا جريمة لها إلا أنها مارست حقها في الأسلوب السلمي للمطالبة بحقوقها المهدورة فنحن نشعر بأن مصير هذه الطائفة في أشد لحظات الخطر المحدق، وأمام سياسةٍ من التصفيات العامة، واستباحة الأمن، وكل الحقوق والأَسْرِ، والتغييب في السجون، والمحاكمات الظالمة، وحياة الإهانة والإستعباد والقهر.

وبلحاظ هذا كله فإننا نطلق صرختنا المدوية بظلامتنا البشعة مطالبين كل الحوزات والمؤسسات الدينية والعلمية، والحقوقية، ومراجع الدين في عالمنا الإسلامي، ورابطة العالم الإسلامي، ومجلس الأمن، والأمم المتحدة، والمجتمع الدولي، والضمير الإنساني، وكل الدول المنصفة والشعوب الحرة بالتدخل الفوري لإنقاذ المستهدفين بهذه الكارثة والوضع المدمر.

هذا وليعلم الجميع أن لا عداوة عند شعب البحرين بين السنة والشيعة، والحكومة تفتعل هذه العداوة، وتعمل عليها.
